The Conjuring (2013)

When Perron family moves into a quiet farmhouse by the lake, they are enchanted by its location and peaceful atmosphere. However, soon after their arrival, the house begins to reveal a more sinister side that oozes such violent energy that even the dog refuses to step through the front door. The home begins to torment its new residents. All clocks freeze at the same time each night. The doors slam shut abruptly. The scariest of all is when the house directly includes itself in the family’s playtime. At first, the parents look for logical explanations to the strange noises and dismiss the children’s complains of chilling apparitions at night. Ultimately, as the hunting persists and gradually intensifies, the desperate adults reach for the help of famous Ed and Lorainne Waren. After some convincing, the demonologists investigate the dark presence in the house and discover the existence of multiple evil spirits that cannot be defeated by simply leaving the place. The ghosts have already attached themselves to the family and the only way to release the household of its curse is through an exorcism. But will it be enough, and can they outsmart the spirits before it’s too late?
